AdventHealth Medical Group Central FL operates over 200 offices, providing compassionate, multidisciplinary care to more than one million patients a year. The role you'll contribute: The Department Secretary provides secretarial support to physicians and other members of the office/clinic. Responsibilities include transcribing dictation of information related to patient evaluation and care and correspondence handling the physician's private schedule, coordinating office, surgical, and professional appointments with travel and lecture commitments. Orders supplies and provides back up for front desk. The value you'll bring to the team: Performs secretarial/clerical duties including medical transcription, composition and dictation Types practice correspondence such as letters, memorandums, policies, etc., from physicians, staff and patients Proofreads all types of correspondence, revising and changing as necessary to ensure accuracy, prior to submittal or distribution Provides support for physician for scheduling appointments, meetings, travel, etc. Successfully arranges meetings Answers telephone prior to the third ring and identifies the practice/clinic and self by name Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, professional and courteous manner and readily offers assistance to customers when appropriate, displaying a helpful attitude Completes special projects or performs other duties as assigned by office manager in a timely manner Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Minimum requirements: High school graduate or equivalent Ability to communicate in English Must be willing to float to other AHMG practices, within reason, when patient load, vacation schedules etc. make it necessary This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
