About the role

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Fort Pierce, FL, serving a K-12 student population. This contract position runs for the current school year (CSY) and is ideal for professionals experienced in delivering speech-language services within school settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for students ranging from kindergarten through grade 12
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress and ensure effective communication strategies are integrated in the classroom
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reports in compliance with school policies and federal regulations
  • Participate in meetings such as Individualized Education Program (IEP) team conferences

Requirements

  • Licensed or certified Speech-Language Pathologist with credentials applicable to school environments
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in K-12 settings
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and intervention techniques
