About the role
Social & Health Program Consultant 4 - Regional Training Specialist
Responsibilities
- Provide training and education to staff who provide services to clients
- Train staff to provide how to provide functional and financial assessments
- Explain waivers including Health Related Social Needs (HRSN) and Presumptive Eligibility (PE)
- Train staff how to develop appropriate individualized service plans
- Explain all programs to include classic Medicaid programs, Community First Choice, COPES, and Medical Personnel Care
- Train staff how to conduct intake interviews and initial risk assessments
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of Washington State’s long-term care, medical, behavioral health, and legal systems
- Skill in leading multi-disciplinary teams, facilitating trainings, and navigating sensitive or difficult conversations across diverse audiences
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities to manage complex cases, prioritize work, and meet judicial and organizational timelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications for data tracking, reporting, presentations, and documentation
