Fabrication Hardware Etch Engineer, Quantum AI

In this role, you will be developing and sustaining semiconductor processes related primarily to wet and dry etching in a cleanroom environment.

• Implement procedures, create clear documentation, and train technicians on production/development tool sets.
• Provide on demand fabrication process and equipment troubleshooting.
• Be responsible for additional areas, including thin film deposition, photolithography, thermal processes, singulation, metrology, or packaging.
• Develop and sustain semiconductor microfabrication processes primarily related to wet and dry etching.
• Fabricate Google’s next generation quantum devices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience working in a cleanroom technical environment.
• 2 years of experience working in semiconductor device R&D or production environments with responsibilities related to wet or dry etching.
