Security Engineer, Enterprise Security Operations

There's no such thing as a 'safe system' - only safer systems. Our Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers.

• Conduct varied security reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Apply security judgment to approve/deny/escalate requests based on risk and policy alignment.
• Develop understanding of Google's internal security frameworks, controls, and policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and business units to provide security guidance and facilitate informed decision-making.
• Build tooling to automate workflows, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in security operations or assurance work.
• Experience programming in Go, Python, C/C++, or Java.
