DSHS FTAA Truck Driver 1

DSHS's Finance, Technology & Analytics Administration (FTAA) is looking for an On-Call Truck Driver 1. This job is located at the Yakima Valley School Residential Habilitation Center campus in Selah (near Yakima). Since you don't have to worry about traffic, this job offers reduced stress from many other transportation jobs. Working with a small team, you'll operate light-duty and small vehicles to deliver goods throughout the campus. The work that you do safeguards the resources needed to care for and support our residents and clients.

• Drive and operate small light duty trucks, vans, and special vehicles to transport patients and employees
• Load and unload materials, supplies, and food products to multiple locations on campus
• Clean exterior and interior of all vehicles; keep vehicles fueled
• Plow snow and spread salt during times of inclement weather
• Assist in collection and transporting of recycled materials to collection points

• Valid WA driver's license, with driving record free from serious traffic violations
• Ability to perform heavy outdoor work and lifting heavy objects repeatedly
• Experience operating small light duty trucks or vans in safe and skillful manner or transporting others is desired
