About the role
As a Speech Pathologist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates and treats patients as medically prescribed, in a professional manner and within hospital standards, adhering to the corporate compliance plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies.
- Oversees the care provided by therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards.
- Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department, through effective time management and clinical efficiency and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of the patients as required.
Requirements
- Master's in Speech/Language Pathology
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
- Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) OR Speech-Language Pathologist - Provisional (SLP-PROV) OR Speech-Language Pathologist - Temporary (SLP-TEMP)
