About the role

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for the cleaning and repair of aircraft engines and parts, including removal, replacement, and repairs including blending, burnishing, blasting, weighing and coating.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and repair of aircraft engines and parts
  • Inspections during rework
  • Documenting maintenance procedures
  • Practicing safe work habits
  • Working alternate shifts, off-days, and weekends

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Ability to use machines common to aviation shops/offices
  • Ability to read and write technical manuals
  • Demonstrating safe work habits
  • Ability to study and apply new skills
  • Ability to work without close supervisory direction
