About the role
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for the cleaning and repair of aircraft engines and parts, including removal, replacement, and repairs including blending, burnishing, blasting, weighing and coating.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and repair of aircraft engines and parts
- Inspections during rework
- Documenting maintenance procedures
- Practicing safe work habits
- Working alternate shifts, off-days, and weekends
Requirements
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Ability to use machines common to aviation shops/offices
- Ability to read and write technical manuals
- Demonstrating safe work habits
- Ability to study and apply new skills
- Ability to work without close supervisory direction
