About the role
A registered nurse with medical-surgical expertise is needed to provide compassionate and competent care in a well-established hospital setting in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall nursing care, providing safety, comfort, hygiene, and restorative measures for patients
- Apply nursing processes and critical thinking for patient assessment, care planning, and evaluation
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to implement and modify individualized care plans
- Respond efficiently to medical and environmental emergencies maintaining a calm and effective approach
- Administer treatments and medications timely while monitoring patient status and acuity
- Facilitate patient and family education, discharge planning, and disease prevention strategies
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing
