About the role

The 5388 Behavioral Health Treatment Liaison is a temporary project position assigned to implement the expectations as directed in SSB 5388

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of the expectations as directed in SSB 5388
  • Serve as the mental health treatment services subject matter expert on the 5388 workgroup
  • Assist in the development of the 5388 project charter
  • Participate in 5388 workgroup meetings
  • Provide routine progress reports
  • Assist in the development of communication and education plans
  • Assist in the development of an internal survey readiness program
  • Assist in preliminary internal audits
  • Assist in the development of a formal communication process

Requirements

  • Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor (LAAC)
  • Experience with Behavioral Health Agency (BHA) WAC requirements
  • Experience working in a collaborative fashion as a part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience conducting audits
  • Experience in developing training curriculum
  • Proficiency using computer-based programs
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of risk, safety and quality standards
  • Knowledge of NCCHC standards, CMS and DOH expectations
  • Knowledge of RCW/WAC requirements for DOC health care services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficient in auditing medical charts
  • 3 or more years as a DOC Psych Associate
  • Master's Degree in psychology
  • NCCHC certification
