About the role
Please note: The starting salary offer will be determined based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, within the annual salary range of $98,000 to $126,000. Hybrid: Our physical office is in Olympia, WA. We offer flexible work schedules and locations. This is a hybrid position where most of the work allows teleworking. However, you must reside in the state of Washington and travel to in-person activities, meetings, and events as needed for business purposes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate reviews and updates of the Workday Configuration Management Plan.
- Chair the Configuration Control Board (CCB); schedule, organize, and facilitate CCB meetings.
- Monitor configuration management processes for compliance, identify and report non-compliance; escalate issues as needed.
- Coordinate configuration management audits; document findings and develop corrective action plans.
- Work with configuration teams to ensure complete and accurate documentation for minor and major configuration changes.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Workday configuration, tenant structure, and system functionality.
- Experience with configuration management principles, baselining, and change control processes.
- Ability to monitor system performance, interpret logs, and support issue escalation and resolution.
- Proficiency with tools used for tracking configuration items, service requests, and changing workflows (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint).
- Skilled in analyzing data, developing metrics, and generating reports and dashboards.
- Ability to support testing cycles, including configuration validation, defect tracking, and deployment readiness.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills, including SOPs, process diagrams, and configuration records.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work with technical and business teams.
- Ability to conduct training and promote understanding of configuration policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
