Pathology Lab Assistant II

The Pathology Laboratory Assistant II performs various laboratory support procedures in assigned anatomical pathology areas. Work customarily involves practical knowledge in various laboratory procedures and support functions.

• Transports hazardous waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area, completing required training for proper handling and transport.
• Demonstrates subject matter expertise in pathology-related duties and workflows.
• Assists laboratory management with special projects and teaching new staff and students.
• Provides resolution to customer service issues within guidelines and supports education to clinical staff.
