General Liability Claim Representative

Investigates, evaluates, reserves, negotiates and resolves assigned General Liability related Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims.

• Investigates each claim through prompt contact with appropriate parties
• Provides quality claim handling throughout the claim life cycle
• Negotiates disposition of claims with insureds and claimants or their representatives
• Maintains claim files and document claim file activities
• Resolves complex, severe exposure claims
• Adjusts reserves or provides reserve recommendations
• Maintains effective diary management system
• Verifies the nature and extent of injury or property damage
• Keeps effective diary management system to ensure timely claim handling
• Utilizes evaluation documentation tools in accordance with department guidelines
• Provides quality customer service and ensures file quality
• Shares accountability with business partners to achieve and sustain quality results

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2 years bodily injury liability claim handling experience preferred
• Commercial Claim handling experience preferred
• General knowledge and skill in claims handling and litigation preferred
• Basic working level knowledge and skill in various business line products preferred
• Demonstrated ownership attitude and customer centric response to all assigned tasks
• Demonstrated good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently
• Demonstrated strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
