Site Reliability Engineer, IS&T Ai & Data Platforms

Apple's Artificial Intelligence and Data Platforms (AiDP) team is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain high quality, scalable and resilient distributed systems that power Apple's enterprise solutions and data pipelines.

• Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters at scale, encompassing both public cloud and on-premises environments, with a focus on maximizing automation.
• Develop and maintain observability capabilities tailored to various application profiles, including online portals, data pipelines, and batch processing workflows.
• Construct CI/CD pipelines to optimize the code flow process, ensuring efficient movement from development environments to production environments.
• Prepare comprehensive alert handling procedures, run-books, and collaborate effectively with other SRE team members.
• Participate actively in troubleshooting incidents within the production environment, spanning across the diverse layers of the stack.
• Foster collaboration with Software Development, Business stakeholders, Production Functional Support, and other SRE teams.
• Provide substantial design and architectural input when developing new solutions to ensure that the SRE perspective is consistently considered.

• Proven experience in creating, managing, and operating Kubernetes clusters at scale.
• Proficiency in Helm or Kustomize for managing Kubernetes applications and configurations.
• Experience in GitOps-based deployment tools such as Spinnaker, Flux, and ArgoCD.
• Knowledgeable in infrastructure templating tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
