About the role
Responsible for attraction recovery, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Universal Kids Resort attractions, show and water play areas.
Responsibilities
- Responds to and assists in the recovery and repair of attractions, show effects, and water play areas.
- Troubleshoots down to failed components using schematics, leak detection equipment, vibration analysis, and other specialized tools and equipment.
- Performs preventative and predictive maintenance as prescribed by OEM or engineering team, both internal and third-party specifications.
- Completes inspections and creates necessary work orders for discrepancies found.
- Follows correct chain of command to notify Ride & Show Management when necessary.
- Repairs to equipment due to safety, reliability, or show quality issues found during preventative maintenance, daily inspections or downtimes to improve ride reliability and show quality.
- Enters follow-up work orders for all discrepancies found in a timely manner.
- Documents all findings and work performed throughout the process of troubleshooting and performing repairs.
- Reports on labor in Maximo for all work performed.
- Demonstrates the ability to acquire skills in additional disciplines to support a broader range of operational and project needs.
- Completes PQS qualification across UKR’s attractions, shows, and water play areas.
- Trains new Technicians to do venue-specific PM work orders, recovery procedures, and processes.
- Assists with seasonal weather condition sustainment initiatives as directed.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a team environment.

- Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
- High School Diploma or GED is required; Associate’s or Technical degree in related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical systems, as well as hydraulic and mechanical systems either in the theme park industry or other industrial industries; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
