About the role
Develop and implement standardized processes, tools, and best practices for on-time fiber deployment. Identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize vendor performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability, with a focus on operational metrics and scoring, continuous improvement, and innovation. Oversee a portfolio of hyperscale fiber deployment programs, encompassing long-haul dark fiber, metro fiber, and leased capacity solutions across multiple regions and continents.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standardized processes, tools, and best practices for on-time fiber deployment.
- Identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize vendor performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability, with a focus on operational metrics and scoring, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Oversee a portfolio of hyperscale fiber deployment programs, encompassing long-haul dark fiber, metro fiber, and leased capacity solutions across multiple regions and continents.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including network engineers, carriers, vendors, and internal Google teams.
- Cultivate a performing team environment, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program management.
- Experience with fiber optic network design, deployment, and operations.
