Adaptive PE Teacher

A dedicated Adaptive Physical Education Teacher is sought to support students across grades K-12 in a structured school environment located in Norristown, PA. This full-time, onsite contract position spans the current school year, providing an excellent opportunity to apply specialized skills in adaptive physical education within a supportive educational setting.

• Deliver adaptive physical education instruction to students with varying abilities, ensuring inclusion and accessibility
• Develop, modify, and implement individualized physical education plans to meet student IEP goals
• Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with educators, parents, and administrators
• Maintain a safe and engaging environment conducive to physical activity and learning
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary support services

• Valid Pennsylvania Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Certification OR Pennsylvania Special Education and Physical Education certifications
• Experience working with K-12 student caseloads
• Strong understanding of adaptive physical education strategies and techniques tailored to meet diverse student needs
• Ability to collaborate effectively with special education and general education teams to enhance student participation and physical development
