About the role

This Administrative Assistant 2 position provides comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the Okanogan Detachment and District Headquarters

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, type, and transcribe reports, statements, correspondence, and investigative documents
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems in compliance with the State Records Retention Schedule
  • Scan, verify, and upload case files and vehicle records
  • Process invoices, vouchers, payments, and cost-recovery checks
  • Track and update Time and Activity Reports (TARs) and maintain payroll documentation accuracy
  • Coordinate training registrations, E-Train entries, travel arrangements, and reimbursements
  • Order, receive, and reconcile office supplies and secure inventory items
  • Assist with overtime scheduling and related documentation
  • Support facility and equipment maintenance coordination
  • Serve as the primary front-counter and phone contact for the detachment
  • Accept subpoenas, maintain the subpoena calendar, and route documents appropriately
  • Support property and evidence customer interactions and maintain lobby materials
  • Provide backup support to other administrative staff as needed
  • Attend meetings and prepare minutes as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of clerical/office experience
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute
