Interim Pharmacy Director

We are currently seeking an experienced Interim Pharmacy Director for a Critical Access Hospital in Illinois. This facility recently completed a successful DNV accreditation survey in 2025 and is looking for a skilled leader to ensure high standards of pharmacy operations, compliance, and collaboration.

• Lead and oversee daily pharmacy operations in a Critical Access setting
• Collaborate with the Infection Prevention Specialist on the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program
• and participate in the Infection Prevention Committee
• Facilitate and lead the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee
• Perform assessments of Pharmacy quality and regulatory compliance
• Scope of practice and duties performed by pharmacy technician
• Sterile compounding and sterilization practices
• Review and update existing pharmacy policies, protocols, and order sets
• Strengthen interdepartmental communication and pharmacy integration
• Oversee sterile compounding tasks

• Previous experience as a Director or Interim Leader in a hospital pharmacy setting
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and sterile compounding practices
• Comfortable working independently in a small hospital environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
