About the role
The NPD Practitioner functions as a learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for inquiry, advocate for NPD specialty and partner for practice transitions as they guide the learner toward desired outcomes.
Responsibilities
- The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner functions as a learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for inquiry, advocate for NPD specialty and partner for practice transitions as they guide the learner toward desired outcomes.
- The NPD Practitioner continuously uses environmental scanning to intentionally assess opportunities and challenges within and externally to the organization, and identifies opportunities based on global and national healthcare trends, legislative changes, needs of collaborative partners, educational gaps, emerging technologies, and the clinical staff members desire for growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Two years of nursing experience
- Current, valid Florida State of Nursing license as a registered professional nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification
- Advanced Life Support Provider Certification, per specialty
