Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals to address communication disorders
- Provide therapeutic interventions through individual and group therapy sessions to support students' speech and language development
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to create a collaborative approach to student care
- Monitor and document students' progress regularly, making adjustments to therapy strategies as needed
- Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute valuable insights
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for certification
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is advantageous, though new graduates are welcome to apply
