CT Tech Lead

Working lead, coordinates the scheduling and efforts of the CT Technologists, trains and mentors. Ability to perform duties of ARRT Technologist when not performing Radiology Cat Scan procedures. In Absence of Supervisor/Director, this position oversees the Cat Scan Department to ensure that the unit is operating efficiently and effectively. Ensures all technologists are kept informed of changes occurring within the department and facility.

• Performs general Cat Scan procedures for patients of all age groups served.
• Coordinates the scheduling and efforts of the CT Technologists.
• Trains and mentors CT Technologists.
• Mentors new and less experienced staff and students.
• Performs billing and charging with hospital computer systems.
• Identifies, proposes solutions and assists in implementation of ideas for improvement in patient care and departmental / hospital operations.
• Identifies opportunities and implements strategies to decrease waste in supplies and equipment.
• Maintains inter and intra departmental communication via phone, fax, computer, etc.
• Maintains communication with CT Technologists.
• In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, patient positioning and technical judgment.

• Completion of JRCERT approved formal program in Radiologic Technology
• Two years cat scan experience with demonstrated leadership skills
• Currently Certified and Registered in Radiography ARRT, CRT
• Current Arizona CTCT license
• CPR required
