About the role
The Coastal/Puget Sound Sturgeon Monitoring Lead will support the Washington Coastal and Puget Sound Sturgeon Monitoring Study through participation in sturgeon field surveys and monitoring activities
Responsibilities
- Collect field data
- Conduct field surveys
- Assist with sonar monitoring
- Assist with collecting water samples
- Observe sturgeon gonads
- Lead other WDFW and non-WDFW staff
- Acoustic array maintenance
- Gear preparation and maintenance
- Manage project vehicle logs
- Manage project vessel logs
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or GED
- Four years of experience as a Scientific Technician
- Four years of laboratory or field experience as an assistant to a health or safety professional, biologist, chemist, or zoologist
