• Greeting, instructing, directing and scheduling patients.
• Serves as a liaison between patient and medical support staff.
• Reviews preoperative instructions: bowel preparation, no aspirin, etc.
• Registers patient and procedure with the appropriate hospital scheduling department
• Correlates pre-admission testing and surgical clearance appointments
• Prepares patient chart orders for surgical RN
• Obtains authorization for hospital admission from patients insurance carrier

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to communicate in English
• Must be willing to float to other AHMG practices, within reason, when patient load, vacation schedules etc. make it necessary
