Casualty Manager

Support the Head of Casualty in Indonesia to build the quarterly business plans with focus to Mid-Market and Industry Practice Underwrite Casualty and Industry Practice Risks (CGL/ PL/ WCEL) for all distribution channel Ensure Portfolio underwriting integrity of Casualty & Industry Practice portfolio across Indonesia Support combined ratio goals, NWP goals, development of risk selection and underwriting standards Report to the Head of Casualty on a regular basis the KPIs with focus to Mid-Market and Industry Practice: Pipeline, key initiatives, new business, key renewals and key brokers in Mid-Market Support the Head of Casualty in Product development to ensure that Products are updated and filed Work with other business lines and local teams on account prospecting, client meetings and presentations for multinational accounts

• Ensure Portfolio underwriting integrity of Casualty & Industry Practice portfolio across Indonesia

• Minimum 7 years working as liability underwriter
• Minimum of 2 years of people management experience
• Professional qualifications (AAAIK, ANZIFF)
• Liability, Property underwriting
• Result oriented- focus on new business development, marketing
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess complex data and make informed decisions
• Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in evaluating applications and setting premiums
• Decision-Making: Confidently approves or denies applications based on risk analysis
• Communication Skills: Effectively explains underwriting decisions to agents, brokers, or clients
• Problem-Solving: Identifies solutions to mitigate risks while maintaining profitability
• Time Management: Manages multiple applications and deadlines efficiently
• Team Collaboration: Works well with sales, claims, and other departments
• Adaptability: Responds to changing market trends and regulatory updates
• Customer Service Orientation: Builds positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Professional insurance qualifications or education to a degree standard
• Analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and judge underwriting risks within written authority
• Good interpersonal skills. Capable of dealing with all levels of producers, customers and staff within Chubb
