Correctional Sergeant - WSP

The Corrections and Custody Officer 3 (Correctional Sergeant) supervises and assists correctional officers as they perform custody work to ensure the safety and security of an adult correctional facility, unit, incarcerated individuals, staff, and the public.

• Supervise and assist correctional officers
• Perform custody work
• Monitor and assist in the transport of incarcerated individuals
• Record and evaluate officer performance
• Develop and provide training
• Take emergency action and intervene in acts of negative behavior

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Three (3) or more years of experience as a Correctional Officer in adult corrections
• Successful completion of thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter hours of accredited college-level course work
