About the role
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for a contract position serving K-12 students in a school setting located in Fairport, NY. This role focuses on providing comprehensive speech and language services throughout the school year (CSY) to support students with communication disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed evaluations of students presenting with speech and language impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Provide targeted therapy sessions aligned with established speech and language objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary school teams to ensure integrated care.
- Involve and educate families to enhance therapy engagement and support.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is required.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice as an SLP.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
