About the role

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for a contract position serving K-12 students in a school setting located in Fairport, NY. This role focuses on providing comprehensive speech and language services throughout the school year (CSY) to support students with communication disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed evaluations of students presenting with speech and language impairments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
  • Provide targeted therapy sessions aligned with established speech and language objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary school teams to ensure integrated care.
  • Involve and educate families to enhance therapy engagement and support.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is required.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice as an SLP.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
