About the role

The Department of Revenue's Research and Fiscal Analysis (RFA) Division is excited to announce an incredible opportunity as a Special Taxes Coordinator (Tax Policy Specialist 4 or TPS4)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tax and economic impact studies of major importance for the agency and other state agencies
  • Prepare and/or review fiscal notes and fiscal estimates for the Governor, the Legislature, and agency Executive staff
  • Provide fiscal, quantitative, and economic information, and formulate policy recommendations for the efficient administration of taxes and sound tax policy

Requirements

  • Proven ability as a project manager or team leader
  • Experience with and understanding of research and analysis
  • Ability to program at an advanced level using SAS or a similar statistical analysis programming tool
