Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN

A healthcare facility in Irving, TX is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (RN-PACU) to join their team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in providing high-quality post-operative care and patient monitoring after anesthesia.

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia to ensure safe and comfortable transitions to standard care units
• Assess patient status and vital signs continuously
• Administer pain management and other necessary medications per physician orders
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely

• Valid RN license with experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in post-operative patient care
• Ability to respond swiftly to emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Effective communication skills to work closely with multidisciplinary teams
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
