Underwriter, Financial Lines

The Financial Institutions team is currently seeking an Underwriter to execute growth and underwriting strategies for the New York Region.

• Fundamentals of coverage, terms and conditions.
• Ability to offer coverage, terms and conditions which generate a profit for the Company while meeting the needs of the customers across a number of products which include:
• Directors & Officers Liability
• Professional Liability for Asset Managers and Funds (including hedge funds, private equity and venture capital)
• Bankers Professional Liability
• Insurance Company Professional Liability
• Security Broker-Dealer Professional Liability
• Employment Practices Liability
• Fiduciary Liability
• Fidelity
• Risk Assessment.

• In-depth knowledge of Financial Institutions management liability and professional liability insurance products and concepts
• Experience developing and maintaining a broad network of brokerage relationships
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Negotiation skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience underwriting management and professional liability products
• Bachelors degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field)
