Technical Product Owner

Join our Risk Technology team and play a pivotal role in delivering solutions to the Rates XVA Trading desks. The department develops and maintains a comprehensive suite of risk technology solutions supporting the Rates XVA business. This is an exceptional opportunity to broaden your expertise across diverse asset classes within a leading Tier 1 investment bank.

• Lead and manage projects, working closely with stakeholders and developers across the program.
• Contribute to hands-on development by implementing Python changes to address ongoing front office and support requests.
• Drive project delivery by creating and maintaining clear project plans, tracking progress against milestones and proactively managing risks and dependencies.
• Elicit, document and communicate clear, concise and accurate business, functional and technical requirements.
• Translate complex issues into easily understandable diagrams and requirements, enabling developers to design and implement optimal solutions.
• Champion and implement Agile methodologies to ensure efficient and effective solution delivery.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance team velocity and overall efficiency.
• Engage directly with a diverse range of stakeholders, including trading desk personnel, business managers, quantitative analysts and other technology teams.

• 4+ years of relevant Product Owner experience.
• Hands on experience with Python and SQL queries and a strong interest in developing technical proficiency.
• Proven ability to gather, analyse and document detailed requirements.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
• Strong consulting and project management skills, with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exposure to financial products and understanding of trading concepts.
