About the role
The Clinical Support Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating project plans and supporting the management of clinical support departments. This role prepares and reports on research, documentation, project timelines, and status updates. The coordinator also serves as a departmental representative in collaboration with internal and external business units, workgroups, and committees.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate project management activities and logistics, including timelines, agenda preparation, meeting documentation, and status reporting. Partner with management and consultants to determine staffing and resource needs; manage deliverables and ensure project milestones are achieved. Support the development and implementation of change management strategies to promote project success. Prepare and deliver project presentations, reports, and recommendations to diverse audiences. Maintain accurate and current project documentation and records. Provide project management support to multidisciplinary and interdepartmental teams. Contribute to quality and safety initiatives, including training and process improvement activities. Communicate regularly with stakeholders and executive sponsors regarding progress, challenges, and outcomes. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and project management software (e.g., MS Project). Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to tailor messages to different audiences. Effective team collaboration and leadership/facilitation abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of project management principles and performance improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Initiative, self-direction, and the ability to work independently while supporting team goals. Familiarity with performance improvement techniques and change management principles.
Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Associate Degree
Experience Required: 1 year facilitating improvement projects using performance improvement tools and techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) Preferred: Experience in healthcare project management
Licenses & Certifications Preferred: Six Sigma Certification Preferred: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
