About the role
The Software Developer will provide development support regarding the design, coding, testing, documentation, and implementation of complex changes, relating to a variety of applications that support the Western World / Lexington businesses.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, document, and implement complex software products
- Collaborate with development team to perform hands-on review of code
- Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver products and clarify objectives
- Author developer-friendly documentation
- Ensure security best practices in all aspects of development lifecycle
- Provide end-user support and maintenance to ensure service levels are maintained
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
- 5+ years of insurance industry experience
- Proven technical proficiency in COBOL, .Net, SQL Server, SSIS, JS, HTML, C#, Angular
- Experience with Dev-Ops practices and tools
- Clear and confident communicator with ability to challenge and influence change at a strategic level
