Certified Mail Order Pharmacy Tech

This role seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician with strong retail pharmacy experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Process and fill prescriptions accurately, handling insurance claims and resolving rejections
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist review and verification
• Perform precise data entry and manage prescription documentation
• Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration checks
• Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and disposal following protocols
• Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support departmental needs
• Ensure full compliance with HIPAA regulations and insurance policies

• High school diploma or GED required
• PTCB certification and valid pharmacy tech license for Virginia in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years’ pharmacy technician experience, preferably in retail (call center experience a plus)
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and confident making phone calls
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Effective communicator capable of collaborating with patients, prescribers, and the pharmacy team
