Special Ed Teacher

A dedicated Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for immediate placement at an elementary school in Denmark, South Carolina. This full-time, contract position offers a chance to support and make a meaningful impact on students in a 4th grade resource room setting.

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with special needs in the 4th grade.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current on special education practices.
• Engage with Extended School Year (ESY) programs offered to support student learning beyond the typical school schedule.

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably at the 4th grade level.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
• Commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
