Retail Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

A leadership opportunity is available for a Supervising Pharmacist / Pharmacist in Charge at an independent retail pharmacy. This contract-to-hire role requires a dependable, full-time leader to oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

• Maintain accurate records of prescription drug purchases and dispensing, including controlled substances
• Remove misbranded, adulterated, and outdated drugs from inventory
• Ensure proper drug storage to prevent loss or deterioration
• Guarantee licensed pharmacist coverage at all times
• Prevent unauthorized prescription refills and sale of legend drugs
• Supervise pharmacy security, including controlling access to dispensing and compounding areas
• Oversee compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
• Provide regular training to pharmacy staff about lawful and proper pharmacy practices
• Manage pharmacy registration and operational compliance

• PharmD or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited program
• Active New York State Pharmacist License
• Immunization certification
• Prior experience in retail or independent pharmacy preferred
• Familiarity with MicroMerchant or PrimeRx software a plus
• Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is advantageous
