Associate Revenue Management Analyst

About the role
The Associate Revenue Management Analyst provides the opportunity to understand the fundamentals of Southwest’s Revenue Management, develop experience in root cause analysis, and build on yield and pricing best practices.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze market performance and forecast to identify revenue opportunities
- Maintain and adjust market pricing and inventory position to improve revenue
- Analyze forward-looking demand trends in assigned markets and cities
- Deliver well-written post-analysis on assigned markets as requested by leaders
- Identify outliers in forecasting system and make appropriate actions
- Collaborate with team in managing holidays and special events; conduct and present analysis on revenue performance within market scope
- Maintain analysis utilizing Excel functions including, but not limited to: pivot tables, formulas, lookups
- Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to maximize revenue
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Requirements
- Ability to solve complex analytical problems
- Ability to interpret data, draw implications and modify approach as needed
- Skilled at taking both the big picture and details into account and making the right decision
- Skilled in synthesizing action plans and communicating to others
- Ability to prioritize own work
- Ability to make decisions in an ambiguous environment and actively make trade-offs considering the highest revenue opportunity or greatest sense of urgency
- Ability to maintain composure, work quality, and other skills during stressful situations
