Assures and assists in provision of optimum quality patient care by serving as resource person for other staff members, patients and family. Coordinates patient care with registered nurse and other departments. Assists the physician. Performs data collection and obtains patient information. Assists the RN with patient care. Intervenes with appropriate action after needs are identified. Evaluates the assignment, planning and intervention process. Demonstrates professional and personal development. Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures.
