About the role

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) Medical team at Echo Glen Children’s Center is looking for a Medical Assistant to join a caring team whose mission is to provide adjudicated youth with access to quality healthcare that positively and restoratively impacts the lives of the youth we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Administer daily prescription medications per physicians’ order.
  • Prepare the resident environment for treatment.
  • Provide immunizations under nursing and physician direction.
  • Conduct basic laboratory point of care testing and electrocardiogram tests.
  • Provide clinic support.
  • Upload medical documents.
  • Clerical reception functions.

Requirements

  • Completion of Medical Assistant course accredited by the American Association of Medical Assistants, or the Committee on Allied Education and Accreditation (CAHEA),
  • Certification to practice as a Medical Assistant in the State of Washington.
  • One year of experience providing direct patient care in a health care setting.
