About the role

Senior Director of Employee and Enterprise Services

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the standardization of procedures and processes to implement policies across the enterprise and provide guidance for the programs it supports and shared services more broadly.
  • Work with individual directors to define and implement DNR’s long-term mission and goals and to develop strategic roadmaps for each group.
  • Provide consultation and direction to assigned Directors to implement DNR’s workforce strategic plans and support the Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Shared Services.
  • Recommend strategies and/or modifications to implement budget and fiscal policies and procedures, and provide direction to division and executive management for advice impacting agency practices.
  • Meet deliverables for the development and implementation of the shared services roadmaps for each area, and policy initiatives, to ensure cost-effective and efficient operating practices for assigned agency programs.
  • Coordinate and provide input as needed on legislative reviews and ensure appropriate responses are provided to the DNR legislative team, as well as to legislators and legislative staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field or a combination of education and/or experience equivalent.
  • At least seven years progressively responsible leadership and management experience in a large, complex and highly represented organization.
  • Experience in strategic leadership, precise communication, effective negotiation and persuasive advocacy.
  • Experience leading large teams and as a member of executive management teams.
  • Experience leading innovative best business practices and continual process improvement.
  • Experience mediating issues between executive management, senior management and operational programs/staff.
  • Experience creating a positive work environment, building morale, and maintaining a high level of staff performance.
  • Experience developing staff skills through effective coaching, mentoring and training.

$138,528 - $161,568/annually
