Underwriter, Financial Institutions

This Underwriter role will be an ideal next step in your career if you already have some relevant experience in insurance – or this could be your entry into underwriting if you have transferable skills.

• Manage and service an existing renewal book of commercial insurance
• Coverage analysis of manuscript forms
• Pricing analysis using data analytics and modeling tools
• Presentations and marketing to brokers and insured’s
• Achieve assigned budget targets
• Maintain profitability

• Minimum 1 to 3 years of Financial Institutions experience managing a large and diverse book of business from multiple brokers
• Post-Secondary Education OR equivalent industry education and experience
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines following company guidelines as well as in a team-oriented approach to accomplish goals
• Strong analysis and decision-making skills
