DSHS ESH Phlebotomist/Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to provide phlebotomy services and assist in the lab at Eastern State Hospital in Medical Lake, WA.

• Perform phlebotomy and process patient specimens
• Check and log temperatures on all temperature regulated equipment
• Restock and inventory supplies in the laboratory
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• File completed reports
• Collect data for quality management

• Completion of an approved course for laboratory assistants, approved by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, or
• Two years of chemical, clinical, or public health laboratory experience, or
• Training in medical technology or education in college with courses in laboratory sciences may be substituted, year for year, for the experience
