Occupational Therapist Lymphedema Specialist

As an Occupational Therapist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client.

• Determines Occupational Therapy Diagnosis and establishes plan of care, make recommendations for referral if treatment needed outside of scope of Occupational Therapist practice.
• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills, activities of daily living skills and evaluate muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Designs and implements a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patients needs.
• Monitors patients response and progress to treatment and modifies treatment plan as appropriate.
• Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policies and procedures.

• American Occupational Therapy Association - Board Certified (AOTA-BC)
• Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy plus five or more years of work experience in Occupational Therapy Required or Master's in Occupational Therapy Required
• 5 Related Experience Required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
