About the role

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available on a contract basis in Genesee, ID, providing a vital service to patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families to support recovery and functional communication.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Requirements

  • Idaho SLP license is mandatory and must be submitted with application.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in rehab or ARU settings.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
  • Strong skills in patient evaluation, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention.
  • Experience with inpatient, outpatient, and ARU patient care.
