About the role
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available on a contract basis in Genesee, ID, providing a vital service to patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families to support recovery and functional communication.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Requirements
- Idaho SLP license is mandatory and must be submitted with application.
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in rehab or ARU settings.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- Strong skills in patient evaluation, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention.
- Experience with inpatient, outpatient, and ARU patient care.
