DSHS Fircrest Custodian 1

Join our team as a Custodian 1 at Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center in Shoreline, WA. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff by performing a variety of housekeeping and custodial duties.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, toilets, mirrors, partitions, and other bathroom surfaces
• Stock restrooms and storage closets with necessary supplies
• Vacuum carpets and mats, sweep porches, steps, walkways, and dumpster areas
• Wash walls, ceilings, vents, lights, and interior/exterior windows
• Shampoo carpets, mop floors, and move furniture as needed
• Strip, wax, buff, and scrub floors manually or with equipment
• Empty garbage, manage linens, and prepare monthly supply orders
• Perform other custodial and housekeeping duties as assigned to maintain a safe and clean environment

• Operate general housekeeping and floor care equipment safely
• Use cleaning supplies correctly to clean and maintain floors, carpets, upholstery, and other surfaces
• Mix and apply cleaning products according to proper ratios and safety guidelines
• Handle moving equipment effectively and follow proper safety procedures
• Maintain accurate records, track inventories, and follow instructions carefully
• Demonstrate patience, respect, and effective communication with clients, colleagues, and the public
• Respond appropriately to client and facility emergencies

• 5% premium pay
• Free ORCA card for transportation use
• Opportunities performed on-site may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay

Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center, located in Shoreline just north of Seattle, provides residential support to approximately 200 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
