Foundry Solutions Engineer, SOAR

About the role
Delta Air Lines is seeking a versatile and innovative Senior Foundry Solutions Engineer to support our flagship initiative, Project SOAR. This role combines deep expertise in Palantir Foundry application design (Workshop, Ontology, Slate) with scalable development practices (pipeline integration, API services, cloud deployment) to deliver next-generation maintenance solutions across our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, user-facing applications using Foundry Workshop and Slate
- Build custom integrations and APIs to connect Foundry outputs with enterprise platforms
- Collaborate with backend, AI/ML, and operational teams to align features with business goals
- Maintain code quality via version control, testing frameworks, and technical documentation
- Support deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning of Foundry applications
- Implement, test, and optimize data pipelines and Ontology-driven frameworks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or PySpark
- Experience with Foundry tools including Workshop, Ontology, Pipeline Builder, and Object Explorer
- Familiarity with Slate, TypeScript, or JavaScript to build advanced UIs
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), APIs, and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to communicate across technical and business teams
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise-scale application development
