About the role
A skilled Occupational Therapist is needed to provide comprehensive therapy services in a K-12 school setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to work within educational environments, supporting students’ developmental and functional needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students’ occupational therapy needs within the school environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans addressing students’ physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to support students’ educational goals
- Provide direct occupational therapy services, both individually and in groups, adapting techniques to promote student engagement and participation
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational and healthcare standards
Requirements
- Valid Occupational Therapy license with eligibility to practice in Colorado
- Experience delivering occupational therapy services within K-12 school settings
- Knowledge of home health and healthcare therapy practices preferred
