Responsibilities
- Assist residential counselors to assess behavior and monitor youth compliance with case plan and program requirements.
- Support and monitor youth participation in appropriate treatment services.
- Co-facilitate Dialectical Behavior Therapy & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy groups.
- Perform routine security duties.
- Conduct wellness checks, living unit building security checks, key checks room searches for contraband, pat and/or strip searches of youth, assist in search and apprehension of escapees.
- Assign and supervise youth chores within a living unit to meet health and hygiene standards.
- Supervise or serve meals to resident groups; monitor movement of residents to and from central areas such as school, medical, and recreation facilities.
- Organize and supervise group recreational activities.
Requirements
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience totaling four years.
- Two years of college education from an accredited institution, AND two years of experience as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Security Officer.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
