Accounting & Reporting Assistant Manager (WMS1)
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate reconciliation between WSDOT'S internal accounting system and the state’s accounting system.
- Supervising and development of direct reports.
- Act as a designated expert for agency accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with completing fiscal/biennium close disclosures for the Office of Financial Management (OFM).
- Back-up the Accounting & Toll Operations Manager regarding communication and coordination with OFM.
- Coordinate procedures and controls for general ledger and fund reconciliations.
- Monitor accounting systems, request enhancements, and ensure proper internal controls are maintained.
- Provide guidance on complying with GAAP, SAAM, federal, and agency accounting policies and procedures including providing training.
- Manage and maintain WSDOT’s Chart of Accounts.
- Act on behalf of the Accounting & Reporting Manager in the absence of the Manager.
