About the role
The Intern will work at Delta's World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a paid position, including additional privileges such as standby travel anywhere in the Delta system while off duty.
Responsibilities
- Support the Program Managers as we attempt to improve the quality and throughput of our processes
- Support the Delta Compliance team with new country/destination filings, obtaining permits and ad hoc projects
- Actively participate in team activities that aim to holistically develop Interns and Co-Ops
- Design and implement process improvements that support the Quality team in Flight Operations including SMS and Quality Audits
- Expect more autonomy and a capstone project that benefits Flight Ops with a focus on automation and cross-functional efforts
Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Aviation Management or a similar degree program with applicable skills
- Strong attention to detail in your work
- Team player that fosters trust, open dialogue, and healthy debate with coworkers
- Strong interpersonal skills and servant leadership required to promote intentional relationships with co-workers and partners outside the company
- Strong organizational and time management skills required
- Internally motivated, curious, ready to learn, and eager to make an impact
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and time constraints while being able to manage and prioritize multiple project requests conjointly
- Flight experience is a plus
- Experience with SMS and safety programs is a plus
